JOAD and Adult Archery

Junior Olympic Archery Development offers recurve archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team building skills. JOAD is open to any youth archer aged 8 to 20 and is designed to grow with the youth archer. Introductory JOAD classes teach the fundamentals of proper shooting form; as the young archer develops, they will learn more advanced techniques and earn achievement awards. One class/ week is recommended for archers ages 8-11. 2 classes plus Coach Supervised Range is recommended for competitive archers 12 and up.

The JOAD program also provides an achievement award program to reward archers for scoring achievements. JOAD Star Pins are awarded for scoring achievements. JOAD archers can earn Stars Pins for shooting indoors and/or outdoors with barebow, basic compound recurve and/or compound bows. Earning JOAD Star Pins is the first step in joining our competitive team.

Mask wearing is a requirement except at the shooting line.
USA Archery Membership is required.

At the same time, we will be teaching our Adult Archery Program. The Adult Archery Program is a program of USA Archery for adults ages 21 years and older. Participants in the Adult Archery program can enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition. Similar to JOAD, our Adult Archery Program offers recurve archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also offers opportunities for stress release, socialization, and fun. The Adult Archery Program also provides an achievement award program to reward archers for scoring achievements and is a great program option for those seeking a lifetime or family sport.

Mask Wearing is a requirement except at the shooting line. USA Archery membership is required.
